Biography of Engineer Morteza Tavana

Morteza Tavana, co-founder and CEO of Aseman Rasad Hadi Company, is a specialist in intelligent monitoring of solar power plants using advanced technologies such as aerial thermal imaging with drones, portable electroluminescence (EL) testing, and IV-Curve analysis. By combining electrical engineering with artificial intelligence, he delivers innovative solutions for fault detection and efficiency enhancement in the renewable energy industry.

Morteza’s professional career began in 2006, teaching the specialized software DIgSILENT Power Factory at Daneshmand Consulting Engineers (Grade 1 consulting services in electrical engineering). He later served as a supervising engineer in various sub-transmission and transmission projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in execution and oversight.

Since 2011, he has contributed to system studies in specialized fields such as:

Transient stability studies in power systems
Relay design and protection analysis
Transformer fault diagnostics using advanced testing techniques
Grid connection studies for gas and solar power plants
Design of megawatt-scale solar power plants
Implementation of dispatching and SCADA systems

In 2016, Morteza and his colleagues founded Aseman Rasad Hadi Company with the aim of providing specialized drone-based services. The company initially focused on aerial mapping and technical inspection of industrial facilities (including refinery flares). Leveraging his prior experience in solar plant design, Morteza specialized in solar plant testing and inspection, pioneering services such as custom-built EL testing cameras and advanced aerial thermography in Iran.
